Ramon B. Felipe

Ramon B. Felipe was born to Antero Felipe in the 1890s. He finished his elementary education at the Sta. Cruz Elementary School in 1906. He moved to Manila to complete his high school education in 1914. Ramon studied law at the University of the Philippines where he became editor of the Philippine Law Journal. He was also awarded the Carson Silver Medal for excellence in oration. He also became a reporter for Cablernew American in 1918.

Ramon received his law degree from the UP in 1919 and worked as the translator and proof reader at the Clerk of Court of the Supreme Court.  Returning to his home town, Ramon was elected Representative of Camarines Sur from 1922 to 1928 and the Governor of the same province from 1928 to 1934.  The Ramon B. Felipe National High School in Pamplona, Camarines Sur was named in his memory.
